Susan V. Berresford
For 38 years, Susan V. Berresford worked in the Ford Foundation, one of the US’ largest philanthropic organizations. She served as the foundation’s president from 1996 until 2008. Now Susan Berresford chairs the board of directors of United States Artists. In addition, she currently sits at The New York Community Trust as consultant. During her tenure as president of the Ford Foundation, Susan Berresford has overseen the creation several nonprofits across the world. She has initiated an international graduate fellowship program, homeownership campaigns for Americans, and arts programs. She likewise facilitated the funding of the International Center for Transitional Justice.
Susan Berresford had been the Ford Foundation’s president between 1996 and 2007.
